Portrait of Larysa, owner of Larysa's Home Daycare

My story has a few unexpected chapters: I was born in Ukraine, hold a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Education, and worked as a paralegal—and then motherhood led me to the work that feels most like home. My paralegal work was in wills, trusts, and estates, which showed me what people value most at the end of life: time with family. I carry that into every day here.

When finding care I could wholeheartedly trust proved harder than I expected, I created the kind of place I had been searching for: a warm, thoughtful daycare in my own home, grounded in Montessori basics and nourishing, made-from-scratch food. I also participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federal program that supports serving nutritious meals to children in care.

Outside daycare, I am usually hunting for the best local produce, milling my own flour, planning our family’s next Disney adventure, or experimenting with a new sourdough recipe. I bring that same mix of intention, resourcefulness, and joy into every day with the children in my care.

Sick policy

Please keep your child home with a fever of 100°F or higher, vomiting or diarrhea in the past 24 hours, a contagious rash or eye infection, or if they cannot comfortably participate in daily activities.

02

What to bring

Please bring labeled extra clothes with 2–3 complete changes, weather-appropriate outdoor gear, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and a small blanket or comfort item for rest time.

Diapers, wipes, and all food—including meals and snacks—are provided. Families only need to supply infant formula.

03

Screen-free environment

Daycare hours are screen-free, leaving room for hands-on play, movement, conversation, creativity, and rest. On rainy days, the one exception is an occasional child-friendly guided workout on the Peloton.

04

Potty training

I’m happy to support potty training once your child is showing readiness and your family has begun the process at home.

If your child has two accidents in one day, they will wear a Pull-Up for the rest of the day, and I’ll start fresh the next morning. Easy-on, elastic-waist clothing helps children practice independently; please avoid overalls and clothing with difficult buttons.

05

Rest time

All children rest quietly on their own cots during the designated rest period.

06

Positive guidance only

Guidance is always respectful, supportive, and age-appropriate. Children are met with calm redirection, clear boundaries, and encouragement as they learn.

07

Late pickup

Daycare closes promptly at 5:00 PM. A late pickup fee of $1.00 per minute, per child applies for every minute past 5:00 PM.

We absolutely love Larysa's daycare! My daughter was with me full-time before starting daycare, so finding someone I felt completely comfortable and could trust with her was so important to me. Larysa has made that transition incredibly easy. She is so communicative, sends so many pictures throughout the day, and always keeps me in the loop. Even though my daughter only goes twice a week, after just a couple of weeks she is already so excited to go to 'Larysa's house,' which gives me so much peace of mind! Her home is thoughtfully childproofed and filled with engaging activities, and she does fun crafts and provides wonderful meals. It's so clear how much she genuinely cares about the kids. We couldn't be happier and feel so lucky to have found her!

The attention to detail exceeds all of my expectations! From the immaculate care of the environment, structured routines, thoughtfulness of activities, mindful and nutritious meals/snacks, and exceptional communication; Larysa's Daycare is amazing! We're so grateful to be apart of her community and highly recommend her to anyone in search of daycare!

Finding a spot here for our 4-year-old has been absolute magic! The positive change in our son since he started has been nothing short of incredible—he is deeply enriched, engaged, and thriving every single day. Every detail of this program is top-tier, from the wonderful, healthy food to the intentionally crafted activities that are building his skills and confidence for preschool. We can't thank Larysa enough for loving and caring for each child like her own. Knowing he is in such thoughtful, capable hands gives us complete peace of mind while we're at work!

If I were to recommend person to watch your kids then it would be Larysa. She is very knowledgeable in the field of kids upbringing, very patient and respectful. Her home space is safe for kids, constantly updating and rotating toys/developmental games for kids. Another amazing thing is that she makes home made foods from scratch. Really healthy which nowadays is pretty rare.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this daycare! The small group setting means each child gets so much individual attention, and you can tell how much care goes into every part of their day. The meals are incredibly healthy and well thought out, and the daily routine and structure have been absolutely amazing for my daughter. In just the past few months, we have seen so much growth in her. She has learned so much, and I can see the positive impact that the consistent schedule, activities, and one-on-one attention have had on her. It gives me such peace of mind knowing that she is not only being well cared for, but is learning, growing, and thriving while she is there. Finding childcare that you completely trust with your child is priceless, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found such a wonderful place for our daughter. I would recommend this daycare without hesitation to any parent looking for a loving, attentive, structured, and nurturing environment for their child.

Our 4 year old has been attending Larysa's daycare full time for the last few months and I could not be happier with her and the thoughtful, safe, caring environment she has created. She is creative with the activities she does and her meal plan is excellent, homemade, well balanced, and nutritious. I've noticed such a difference in my son since he's been attending. He is so fulfilled there educationally and emotionally and his time there is getting him fully prepared to attend pre-k. I couldn't recommend her enough. I feel so lucky that we found her daycare.
